What the data says
An overview of the public data behind SYK.
At $303.13, Stryker trades near the lower end of a 52-week band that runs from $281.00 to $395.90 — closer to the floor of that range than the ceiling, and well below the high set at some point over the past year. The spread between those two levels is roughly 41% of the low, so the stock has covered meaningful ground over twelve months despite a beta of 0.77, which places its typical day-to-day movement below that of the broader market.
The market values the business at about $116 billion, or 31 times trailing earnings and 4.8 times book value, while the forward multiple of 18 reflects expectations for a considerably higher earnings base ahead. Underneath those multiples, the company converts about 14.4% of revenue into profit and grew revenue 9.4% over the trailing period. The dividend yield stands at 1.16%, consistent with the $0.88 per share quarterly payout declared in early August.
Recent headlines split between company-specific and sector-level items. The company-specific flow is administrative and strategic rather than operational: two notices about participating in the 2026 Wells Fargo Healthcare Conference, the August dividend declaration, and a September 1 agreement to acquire ZuriMED to expand its shoulder care portfolio. The remainder is wider medical-device and healthcare coverage in which Stryker appears as one name among many — a piece on the iShares U.S. Medical Devices ETF, a look at aging-population demand across healthcare, and market-size projections for intravascular lithotripsy and ultrasonic aspirators. Absent from the window is any earnings release, guidance update, or regulatory development specific to the company.
