What the data says
An overview of the public data behind INTC.
At $112.54, Intel trades near the upper end of a 52-week band that runs from $18.97 to $142.35 — a range so wide that the low sits at roughly a sixth of the high. The stock is currently about 21% below its 52-week peak and several times above its low, which tells you the past year has been one of dramatic re-rating rather than steady drift. A beta of 2.19 is consistent with that: the shares have historically moved roughly twice as far as the broad market in either direction.
The market is pricing the business well ahead of its current earnings. A forward P/E near 70 and a price-to-book of about 4.95 sit against a profit margin of -5.9%, meaning the company is not yet profitable on a net basis, while revenue grew 7.2%. Put together, the roughly $552 billion market capitalization reflects expectations for earnings that the reported figures do not yet show, rather than a valuation anchored in trailing profitability.
Recent coverage splits between Intel specifically and the semiconductor sector around it. Company-level items include a piece on the state of its turnaround, a Q1 comparison of Intel against other processor and graphics-chip makers, and an Arizona supplier matchmaking expo it is co-hosting with the SBA for the aerospace and semiconductor industries. The rest is sector context — Nvidia's Vera CPU expanding its reach, a note on the iShares Semiconductor ETF rising 112.8% in the first half of 2026, and broader market wraps that mention Intel alongside SK Hynix, Micron and others. The news flow, in other words, is as much about the chip cycle Intel sits in as about the company itself.
