What the data says

An overview of the public data behind YELP.

Yelp trades at $23.60, closer to the low end of a 52-week band that runs from $19.60 to $34.49 — roughly a third below the high and about 20% above the low. That is a wide range for a company of this size, and the current price sits in the lower portion of it, meaning the stock has spent the past year giving back much of what it reached at the top.

At a market capitalization near $1.28 billion, the shares carry a trailing price-to-earnings ratio of about 11.6 and a forward multiple of roughly 6.4. The gap between those two figures reflects expectations of higher earnings ahead, though the market is applying a modest multiple in both cases. Price-to-book sits near 2.1. Underlying profitability is positive but thin — a net margin close to 8.6% — and revenue growth over the trailing period was about 1.4%, so the business is expanding slowly rather than scaling. A beta of 0.46 means the stock has historically moved less than half as much as the broader market, an unusually low reading for an internet advertising name.

The recent news flow is dominated by insider and large-holder share sales rather than operating developments: a trimmed stake by an outside investor in March 2026, coverage of a CEO sale in February 2026, and COO share sales in October 2025 and July 2024. The March 2026 item also referenced local services advertising reshaping the business. A pair of August 2025 headlines concern other small-business marketing firms rather than Yelp itself, making them sector color rather than company news. The most recent company-specific operating item in this set is the February 2025 fourth-quarter report noted as a revenue beat.
