What the data says
An overview of the public data behind TSLA.
At $348.75, Tesla trades in the lower half of a 52-week band that runs from $297.38 to $498.83 — roughly 30% below the high and about 17% above the low. That is a wide range for a company of this size, and it places the current price closer to where the stock has been defended than to where it peaked over the past year. A beta of 1.83 puts the rest of that behavior in context: the shares have moved substantially more than the broad market in both directions.
The market is valuing the business at about $1.38 trillion, or roughly 332 times trailing earnings and 161 times forward estimates, and about 15.9 times book value. Those multiples sit against a net profit margin of 3.7% — thin for the size of the capitalization — alongside revenue growth of 25.5%. The gap between the trailing and forward multiple reflects an expectation of materially higher earnings ahead, so the current price is anchored less to what the company earns today than to what the market expects it to earn later.
Recent coverage has been split between company-specific developments and broader sector themes. On the company itself, headlines center on Optimus entering production at Fremont and questions about how that robot program is received, along with price increases on certain Cybertruck models and forward-looking commentary on the stock into 2027. The rest of the flow is wider-market material in which Tesla appears as one name among many — AI-stock analyst roundups, an energy-storage comparison between other operators, and pieces on Bitcoin treasury companies and S&P 500 patterns. Readers should note that a meaningful share of the current news volume is sector and market commentary rather than reporting on Tesla's own operations.
