What the data says

An overview of the public data behind OKLO.

At $38.53, Oklo trades close to the bottom of its 52-week range, whose low of $36.61 sits barely below the current price and whose high of $193.84 is roughly five times it. A band that wide, traversed within a single year, describes a stock that has moved in large swings rather than a narrow drift, and the present level places it near the weaker end of that span.

The market still assigns the business a capitalization of about $7.1 billion, or roughly 2.2 times book value, even though the profitability figures show no profit margin and the forward price-to-earnings ratio is negative — meaning earnings are still expected to be below zero over the coming period, so the multiple carries no conventional meaning. The valuation therefore rests on assets and expectations rather than on current earnings. A beta of 1.20 indicates the shares have tended to move somewhat more than the broad market in both directions, which is consistent with the range described above.

Recent coverage divides between company-specific items and sector-wide ones. On the company side, headlines have addressed a Meta agreement calling for a 1.2-gigawatt reactor in Ohio and its expected timeline, alongside pieces weighing contract risk against demand from AI-driven power needs. The broader thread is about small modular reactors generally — multi-decade agreements from large technology buyers, and a decline this year across nuclear names including peer NuScale Power, often framed around data center sentiment. Much of the flow is thus about the sector's trajectory as much as about Oklo alone.

About Oklo Inc.

Oklo Inc. is a nuclear technology company based in Santa Clara, California, that is developing small fission power plants for customers in the United States. Its Aurora powerhouse is a fast reactor design intended to produce roughly 15 to 75 megawatts of electricity per unit. Rather than selling reactors outright, the company's stated approach is to build, own, and operate the plants and sell the resulting power under long-term contracts. Oklo is also working to commercialize nuclear fuel recycling and fuel fabrication, with the aim of converting used nuclear fuel into fuel for its own reactors. The company was founded in 2013 and became publicly traded in May 2024 through a combination with AltC Acquisition Corp., which was then renamed Oklo Inc.
