What the data says
An overview of the public data behind ENR.
Energizer trades at $21.03, a little above the middle of its 52-week range of $15.75 to $30.29 — a span in which the high sits roughly twice the low, so the past year has covered a wide stretch of ground rather than a narrow drift. The current price sits closer to the bottom half of that range than the top, meaning the stock has given back much of the distance to its 52-week high.
The market is applying a low multiple to the company's earnings: about 7.7 times trailing profits and roughly 6.0 times expected forward earnings, the forward figure being the lower of the two. Against that, the price-to-book ratio near 8.3 is high, reflecting a small equity base relative to the roughly $1.44 billion market capitalization. The business converts about 6.5% of revenue into profit, with revenue down around 3% over the comparison period, and the dividend yield stands at 5.71%. A beta of 0.74 indicates the shares have moved less than the broader market.
Recent coverage splits between company-specific items and wider industry material. The company-level items are routine and ownership-related: two quarterly dividend declarations, a piece noting a 10 percent owner's purchase of 40,000 shares, an appearance in a dividend-stock roundup, and recognition at an AutoZone vendor summit tied to its auto care and battery distribution. The remainder is sector research not specific to Energizer — market-size forecasts for consumer batteries, radioisotope batteries, and wireless charging. There are no earnings releases, guidance updates, or operational announcements in the recent flow.
